One-to-One services are available for families of young children, ages 0–3 years, who are at risk for or diagnosed with a delay or disability. Through the following services, a child’s growth and development are supported within the child’s regular routines and activities, along with the implementation of additional activities that our specialists make available. All areas of development are supported and aided, including cognitive, language, motor, self-help, social-emotional and social development. Additionally, we aim to support families in their ability to promote the health and development of their young child.
Speech Therapy
Buonora Centers offers speech and language services to young children, ages 0-5 years. We will provide services that focus on the development of functional communication, including the use of intention, sound production, pragmatics, comprehension, and oral-motor development, Our purpose is to increase communication skills for children with hearing loss and difficulty producing speech sounds and other forms of language delays.
Occupational Therapy
Buonora Centers offers occupational therapy directly to young children, ages 0 – 5 years. They will develop goals, design individual therapy plans, and select activities that will meet the developmental needs and interests of each child. Our OTs will work directly with children and their families with the purpose of developing practical and daily living skills, including fine motor, sensory motor and appropriate play interaction, all the while fostering the child’s independence in and outside their home environment.
Physical Therapy
Buonora Centers offer physical therapy treatment to young children, ages 0 – 5 years. In an effort to maintain and restore movement and function to maximum ability, our physical therapists will focus on enhancing the child’s balance, movement and overall gross motor skills.
Child Development Services
Our Child Development Specialists (CDS) will set up and provide developmental activities that will enhance a child’s cognitive, social/emotional and physical development. The instructional design will optimize the potential for each child to meet their educational goals. The CDS will provide families with information and support needed to enhance the skill development of the child. We assist families to incorporate strategies into their everyday routines, in addition to guiding the family through the next steps of supporting their child’s growth and development.
